Passito sweet wine, that is produced with dried grapes, is a passion that crosses the whole country and that always gets great appreciation. Among the many designations that enhance it (we find at least one in each region), we report only some that we believe to be representative. Let's start with those made with black grapes:
- Moscato di Scanzo DOCG (Moscato di Scanzo 100%)
- Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG (Corvina 45-95%, Corvinone 0-50%, Rondinella 5-30%)
- Montefalco Sagrantino Passito DOCG (Sagrantino 100%)
- Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale DOCG (Primitivo 100%)
Then come those produced with white grapes, which give wines with a characteristic golden color:
- Cinque Terre Sciacchetrà DOC (Bosco 40-100%, Albarola 0-40%, Vermentino 0-40%)
- Erbaluce di Caluso DOCG (Erbaluce 100%)
- Greco di Bianco DOC (Greco Bianco 95-100%)
- Passito di Pantelleria DOC (Moscato di Alessandria, also known as Zibibbo, 100%)
- Trentino Vino Santo DOC (Nosiola 100%)
- Vino Santo del Chianti DOC (Trebbiano Toscano 70-100%)
