Adige is an important river in northern Italy but also, in the first part of its path, an important witness of Alpine enology. It is born on the border with Austria and, before entering Veneto and later entering the Adriatic Sea, is the common denominator of many landscapes and many denominations of Trentino-South Tyrol.
In the province of Bolzano it crosses Alto Adige DOC, Lago di Caldaro DOC and Valdadige DOC; this one, of great dimensions, will accompany it until Verona.
In the province of Trento first meets the vineyards of Teroldego Rotaliano DOC, Trentino DOC and Trento DOC; further south it crosses one of the important geographical specifications of Trentino DOC, i.e. Trentino Marzemino DOC, before entering the territories of Valdadige Terradeiforti DOC and arriving in Veneto.
In Veneto it does not physically cross any denomination, but with its course it surrounds for a long distance those present in the Verona area.
