Profile
In the red version, the color is ruby red in various intensity, with garnet reflections increasing with aging. The scent is intense, fruity (wild berries, plum) and vinous; in aged wines emerge further fruity notes (ripe fruit, jam) and spicy. The flavor is certainly warm, dry, soft, with a bitterish aftertaste. It is not particularly astringent thanks to a small presence of tannins.
Food pairing
Cannonau di Sardegna Rosso DOC pairs well with tasty meats cooked on the grill and on the spit (like lamb and wild boar).
