Territory

Langhirano is a town of about 10,000 inhabitants that is mainly known for the production of the famous Parma Ham. The wineries are located on the left side of the valley, which guarantees better exposure to the south-east.

Excluding the valley floor, which is alluvial, the soil of the Langhirano hills is calcareous-marl and calcareous-clayey. Its thickness is limited, sometimes leaving the rocks of the substrate to surface.
