Neive
Neive is a small town of 3,500 inhabitants, within the designation Barbaresco DOCG. In winter, when the vines are completely bare of leaves and fruits, the surrounding landscape looks like a yellow-ocher expanse covered with thousands of pins, the poles that support the vineyard.
It is located on the northern border of the Langhe, just east of Barbaresco; the typical color that emerges predominant from any non cultivated space is due to the particular composition of the ground, alternating layers of marl and sand, formed as a result of the seabed rise. This layered shape greatly influences the wine it produces, so much so that Nebbiolo, a vine that is widespread in all the Langhe, here gives a different, more elegant and lively result.
