Glera

Glera's fortune is closely linked to the success of Prosecco, the sparkling wine produced with its grapes. The vineyard area, concentrated substantially in the hilly areas of Veneto, reaches 30,000 hectares, making it one of the most cultivated vines in Italy.

The vine lends itself to the production of sparkling wine with the Charmat method and is characterized by a pleasant and typical acidity.

Tasting

The prevalent color is straw yellow, slightly intense to medium intense, sometimes verifiable with greenish reflections.

The scent is intense and very complex. Floral notes of white flowers, rose, acacia, hawthorn, fruity notes of apple, tropical fruit, lemon, pear and peach emerge. Almost absent the vegetal notes. If refined emerge spicy notes of honey, anise and bread.

The taste is intense and very pleasant, characterized by a marked acidity and a good structure. The wine produced can be both sweet and dry and offers an unmistakable note of fermentation.
